I was a finicky eater growing up, and I didn’t really start experimenting with “exotic” food combinations until well into adulthood. While Hawaiian-style pizza is now one of my favorite things on The Planet, there was a time in my not-too-distant-past that the idea of pineapples on pizza made me gag. So now one of my favorite fast-food restaurants – and my first place of employment – McDonald’s,  wants to know if you’d like blueberry bread with your breakfast sandwich. It turns out the fast-food giant is testing “Blueberry McGriddles,” the morning delicacy you already know with egg, cheese and your choice of bacon or sausage. In the “proper” version of this breakfast classic, the bun is maple-flavored, but my new-found mix ‘n match attitude has me wondering if I wouldn’t LOVE this baby even more if it had luscious blueberries stuffed into that bun! Unfortunately, if we all want to try the blueberry buns, we’ll have to travel to Washington, D.C., where the test roll-out is taking place…checking Southwest Airfares now…
