Cindy Williams star of Laverne & Shirley RIP
Today we learned that one of the stars of the bottle capper team of Laverne & Shirley has passed away; I am referring to Cindy Williams. She reportedly died last week but news of her passing wasn’t released until today. Last month I went though Season 1 of the Penny Marshall, Cindy Williams led ABC series Laverne & Shirley. Other stars that drove the comedy on that late 70’s – early 80’s show was Michael McKean and David Lander.
Cindy Williams was my favorite on that show. She had great comedic timing and while her character was somewhat timid at times, she could also exhibit great strength and was the moral compass of the show.
I think it’s time to invest the time to re-watch this hilarious series and catch episodes I might have missed during the original run.
