NAMIWalks participants don’t just walk the walk: they ARE the walk!

NAMIWalks, the upcoming one mile walk sponsored by the Solano County Chapter of The National Alliance On Mental Illness (NAMI) to raise awareness about Mental Health Access for all, is about people who think nothing of giving everything – their time, their stories, their heartfelt dedication to this important cause. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker myself, I’ve seen the positive impact that easier access to Mental Health services can have on individuals and communities. If you’re free on Saturday, October 19th from 9am to 11am, will you accept the challenge and “become the change” through your commitment, community togetherness and laughter? Will you help to fuel mental health awareness, raise funds for NAMI’s mission and let people know they aren’t alone? The walk takes place at Lagoon Valley Park in Vacaville; signing up is easy: contact Hazel Bright, at (925)-381-4314 or [email protected]. Check out all the services NAMI has available locally, at www.namisolanocounty.org 🙂
