Join Your Local 4-H Organization And Learn Valuable Skills

The University of California 4-H Youth Development Program welcomes all youth members (5-19) and adult volunteers in California! 4-H is an exciting way to learn about animals, sustainability, and conservation. The Solano County 4-H program has been helping young people reach their fullest potential as competent, confident individuals who contribute to and are connected with their communities for over 100 years! They’ve had the participation of 255 youth members enrolled for the 2023-2024 program year, and 94 volunteers.

In 4-H programs, youth serve in leadership roles where they set goals, develop plans, complete projects, and reflect on their experiences.
Learn by doing activities, youth-adult partnerships, and research-based educational programs help young people enhance their leadership abilities and develop a wide range of other life skills.

Children and adults can participate in 4-H through clubs (in-school, after school, special interest, military, & community), camps & events.
