Hey Mustang Fans: Celebrate The 60th Birthday Of This American Classic In FF On 9/15
It’s a well-documented fact that I’ve been a Mustang Fanatic since childhood; my first experience with Ford’s classic “Pony Car” was when I rode in the backseat of my grandfather’s White ‘65 Fastback as a four year old (with no child car seat in sight). In my pre-teen years, I became a member in good standing of “The Matchbox Car Collectors Club” and purchased a mint condition ‘65 Fastback model with “active steering” for my growing miniature car stable. Although my first (drivable) car at age 16 was a ‘69 VW Beetle, my first real Mustang showed up in the form of a ‘67 Green Coupe that I begged my Dad to help me pay for at age 17. Several Mustangs later, I hoodwinked my own son Jake into wanting one for his first car; there he is pictured admiring his Blue ‘66 coupe outside his high school in Rocklin, CA. Yes, the Young Family has a long history of worshiping, over-paying, and regret-selling multiple Mustang vehicles through the decades…if you suffer from this same affliction, indulge your love of this classic car by attending the “Coffee and Cars” Mustang event at Ford Fairfield on Sunday, September 15th from 8:30 to 11 am.
