January is National Stay Healthy Month, so watch your mouth Lol I just visited my dental hygienist, and she reminded me how important our oral health is. It can affect your whole body. We all should continue brushing twice a day, using an antibacterial mouthwash every day and flossing each day. You should also avoid smoking and other tobacco products. Cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, and other types of tobacco products cause oral cancer, gum disease, and other oral health problems. Untreated tooth decay is higher in people who smoke cigarettes.

I experimented during the Pandemic, when I couldn’t get my teeth cleaned. I made sure to use whitening strips once a week. When I was finally able to book and appointment, my dental hygienists was pleasantly surprised, and she noticed that I had much less tarter and no dental problems. It turned out to be a good backup plan.

What oral health tips do you share with your friends and family?
