The Great Yolo Causeway Post-pup Bat Count

Each year since 2018, we have counted the bats under the I-80 freeway bridge near Davis and Sacramento. This colony is one of the largest known bat colonies in California. Data from these counts will contribute to our knowledge of population, bridge habitat use and bat survey methods.
Sign up for the post-pup count:
Sunday, August 29 Bat Count Sign-up here.
This sign up covers daytime and evening counts, and all types of roles (logistics, team leads and bat counters).
Should your schedules allow, we will look forward to seeing you on August 29th!
Our sincere thanks,
The Yolo Bat Count Organizing Team

2. Have questions about the count? You’ll find lots of information on the sign up site. We’d be glad to answer additional questions by email, though please accept our apologies in advance for any slow replies due to summer field and travel schedules.
