New Bands and Old Favorites to Perform at Dixon May Fair
Leber Stage at the Dixon May Fair, May 11-14, will host some new groups this year.
Songs of the Eagles are always a favorite and Thursday night will feature the tribute band
One of These Nights. With five number one singles and four number one albums, The
Eagles were among the most successful recording artists of the 1970’s. At the end of
the 20th Century, two of those albums, “Eagles: Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975)” and
“Hotel California,” ranked among the ten best-selling albums ever.

Friday night there is excitement brewing for The Outlaw Mariachi Band. The Band
claims to have found the best mariachi rockers from throughout the nation in their
humorous bio that “would help them fulfill their destiny to save society by bringing
everyone together with humor and rockin’ tunes . . . and they became The Outlaw
Mariachi.”

For the first time the Fair will present a tribute to the band Boston. Longtime will perform on
Saturday evening. Their high-energy performances capture all the layered guitar harmonies
and the powerful vocals that are iconic to the Boston sound. Boston has sold more than 75
million records worldwide – including 31 million albums in the United States – making them
one of the best-selling artists in the world.

There are some bands that always draw a crowd and fill the dance area and those are the
bands who are invited back, according to CEO Patricia Conklin. Back by popular demand are
Crossman Connection, Robby James & the Streets of Bakersfield, The Latin Touch, The Rhythm
Method Trio.
