A couple of years ago the front of our house almost flooded. Hi! KUIC’s Ron Brown here. We weren’t prepared. What I learned is to plan ahead and be prepared. Just some of the things we didn’t have include- sandbags, a wheel barrel to haul the sandbags to the yard from the car. A sump pump. This was extremely helpful in draining the standing water. It’s a lot easier than trying to move water with a broom. Be sure to keep one handy, they sell out fast! Wear rain gear. I had on sweats and they got soaked. Have plenty of shovels and dirt handy to shore up any high water. The biggest thing I learned is to have a plan. There is much more than this, its my personal experience. Good luck!
