Jeff Dorian

Jeff Dorian has been broadcasting since he was a sophomore at San Jose’s Leland High School. The school’s radio station, KLEL, is where it all began.

At 16, Jeff hosted a radio interview show titled, “The Limelite.” The show featured some rather big names for a high school radio show. Motley Crue, Triumph, Greg Kihn, Joan Jett and many others were featured on this weekly show, which Jeff also produced.

Jeff began working his way up the Bay Area radio food chain after graduating from The Columbia School of Broadcasting. Starting as a board operator at KARA and KEZR, he found his first big-break at Metro Traffic.

In the ensuing years Jeff broadcast traffic reports on KBAY, KRTY, KCBS, Alice, The Bone and several other Metro affiliates.

Jeff also enjoys a successful career as a radio DJ, inspired by Jim Ladd and Sheila Rene.

Other radio jobs include his overnight show on KFOX in the early 90’s which was the most listened music show in the Bay Area.

He also spent time at KRTY, B93 in Modesto, The Wolf in San Francisco, and KUIC in Vacaville, a show that he still hosts every Sunday.

Jeff has spent 3-4 years reporting traffic on NBC11 & CBS5 in San Francisco, earning an Emmy Nomination.

Jeff was born in Los Angeles. Grew up in Van Nuys, Thousand Oaks and South San Jose. He’s a music aficionado and an avid music collector who loves a HIT record!
