Morningsun Herb Farm and Slow Food Solano invite you to celebrate Tomato Day 2014 in the shady gardens of Morningsun Herb Farm, 6137 Pleasants Valley Road, Vacaville on Sunday, August 24 from 11 AM to 3:30 PM.  For a $5.00 donation per person, visitors will have the chance to taste more than 100 varieties of ripe, juicy tomatoes, see chef cooking demonstrations (and sample the results!), and purchase local products from a variety of vendors, including Tenbrink Farm which will offer a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, and 100 varieties of heirloom tomatoes (Tenbrink Farm supplies many of the tomatoes each year for this event).

Tomato Day is an annual event co-sponsored by Morningsun Herb Farm and Slow Food Solano.  It is a fundraiser for Slow Food Solano to support their  local school garden grant program. This year Slow Food Solano awarded grants to 13 Solano County school gardens.
